Get ready to Run Wild

Lace up your shoes and start stretching. Wildlight and 1st Place Sports are putting on the fourth annual Run Wild 5K, 10K & 1-mile fun run on Saturday, February 28th, 2026. We’re going to be running along the trails and through the neighborhoods of Wildlight. And that’s not all that’s taking place at the race. Every registered participant gets a Dri-fit shirt, medal and hat — plus fun pre- and post-race activities, too.

Want to know where you’re running?

We’ve mapped out the course, and it’s a good one—with our 5K, 10K and 1-mile Fun Run leading you along the Wildlight Trailways. Take a peek. (Practice run optional.)

Run For Good

All proceeds from Run Wild will benefit the Wildlight YMCA’s financial assistance program, supporting after-school and summer enrichment programs. After all, nothing feels better than a good run than running for a good cause.

Taking place at the race

For Families

There’s a 1-mile fun run. And then there’s just plain fun. Like games in the Kids’ Zone, a balloon artist and face painter, cool treats from Kona Ice and more.

For Everyone

Enjoy pre- and post-race eats at the food trucks. Grab a healthy (and free) snack at the fruit stand. Listen to live music from The Honey Badgers. Cheers a crisp beer from SJ Brewing Company. And commemorate the morning at our selfie station (post your pic on our instagram and tag @WildlightLiving to be featured on our page).

For The Runners

Before you start, warm up with the Wildlight YMCA, then hit your mark and go. Once you cross the finish line, get an assessment done by UF Rehab. And don’t forget to grab your medal and hat (and a few high fives, too).

A big thank you

Run Wild couldn’t happen without some very important help. We’d like to thank the following sponsors for their support:

A grid of ten grayscale company logos, including David Weekley Homes, Perry Homes, Toll Brothers, Pulte Homes, ETM, and the YMCA—leading names featured in the Wildlight master planned community in Yulee, Florida.
