Parks & Trails
The need for nature
It’s been proven that human beings actually feel an innate need to connect with nature. Good thing we have so much of it at Wildlight. Like parks for playing. Parks for relaxing. Ponds for paddling. Trails for hiking and biking. And wetlands and open space that uphold our commitment to conservation. It’s all here, waiting for you to explore. Go on, get out there.
Coin Toss Park
It’s our newest residents-only park, and you’ll find it easy to spend the day here. Feeling competitive? Head to the pickleball, sand volleyball and basketball courts. Want to relax? Grab a book and head down to the water. Have energetic kids? There’s an off-leash dog park for your fur babies, and playground structures for the human ones. We get tired just thinking about all there is to do here.
Waterbug Park
The big heat-beating spot is the pool, which is for residents only, and has plenty of spots to lounge in the sun or sit in the shade. But everyone can enjoy the other activities at Waterbug Park—from the Adirondack seating area, to the bocce ball and cornhole, to the outdoor picnic tables. No wonder it’s one of Wildlight’s wildly popular places to spend the day.
Whistling Duck Pond
If your idea of being out in nature includes being on the water, Whistling Duck Pond is the place. Launch your kayak, canoe or paddleboard. Or, simply relax along the shore with a good book or picnic lunch. As for those ducks in the name? Yep, you might catch a glimpse of some of those, too.
Four O’Clock Park
Is it just us, or is working out more fun when you do it outdoors? You’ll find out at Four O’Clock Park, where outdoor fitness equipment is just one of the things you can enjoy here — along with relaxing hammocks for hanging out, and a pond for taking in the view.
Trailways & Greenway
Wildlight Trailways
Calling all hikers, bikers, walkers and meanderers. Wildlight’s 12+ miles of trails will get you where you want to go — whether you’re headed to the Village Center, through the neighborhoods, around ponds, out into open space, into woods … or even to another trail. And there are even more coming, which means you’ll have even more exploring to do soon.
Trail Map >Wildlight Greenway
We believe in doing right by the land, and celebrating the history of the site where our community sits. That’s why you’ll find 2,100 acres of preserved land here — showing up in a number of community features, and dotting the landscape with untouched, natural beauty. In other words, living up to the “wild” part of our Wildlight name.
