Here’s to heading outside
The Garden District will have 484 acres (yes, acres) of regional, community and neighborhood parks — which means you won’t go very far without hitting one. Especially since our extensive Wildlight Trailways pretty much connect them all. And if you like big swaths of untouched, natural beauty that put a little more “wild” into Wildlight, you’ll appreciate the 2,000 acres of preserved wetlands and open space that The Garden District will be adding to our Wildlight Greenways.
Garden District parks
The Garden District has public parks and resident-only parks. (But we just like to call them perfect-for-your-plans parks.)
Oak Hammock
The Garden District’s first park will have plenty of public spaces — including a band shell, event lawn and large treehouse (in addition to the large oaks that provide shady spots to spend some time under). But residents will have private places to play and gather as well, like a nature-inspired playground; tennis and pickleball courts; and a fitness center, resort-style pool and gathering spaces at Heirloom House, a clubhouse designed to look like a repurposed manor home.
The Green Ribbon
This planned 13-mile linear park will eventually stretch along the St. Marys River, providing access to beautiful views (“beautiful” being a bit of an understatement). And the first 4-mile portion of it will start at the Green Ribbon Trailhead and lead to Roses Bluff Overlook. Imagine hopping on a bike then hopping on this scenic pathway, dotted with delightful parks along its course.
GARDEN CENTER & GEAR SHED
Rent one of our bikes — or make repairs to your own. Pot some plants or buy some gardening supplies. Get info about the community. Our garden center and gear shed are here to make Wildlight life a little easier (and a lot more fun).
Future Regional Park
53 acres of future fun is planned for a regional park in the Garden District. Stay tuned.
Garden District trailways
The Garden District has 19+ miles of Wildlight Trailways planned. You’ll find them connecting the neighborhoods, parks and amenities, providing providing a beautiful way to get from one place to another (and another and another). Head out your front door, hop on a trail, and go all the way to the Green Ribbon — with plenty of scenic stops along the way.
