Experience Del Webb Wildlight

How to fall in love: Come get a two-day taste of Del Webb Wildlight

Lance Jones, one of the sales specialists at Del Webb Wildlight, is sure you’re going to love it here. Why? Because he knows so many people who love it here. But he also understands that with a decision this big, you can’t just take it on faith. You need first-hand, up-close-and-personal proof. And that’s what the Experience Del Webb program is all about.

Experience Del Webb lets you spend three days and two nights in a Del Webb Wildlight home living the Del Webb Wildlight life. Aside from a guided tour of the homes and the community, your time is your own to spend however you like. As Lance says, “While you’re here, you can experience all the amenities, all the activities, of Del Webb Wildlight and the whole Wildlight community.”

Picture this …

You arrive for your Experience, check in with the concierge and snag a complimentary coffee at the spectacular Horizon Club. Then maybe you decide to keep it lowkey on this first afternoon with some reading and relaxation time next to the pool.

Before you know it, a waiter appears at your side. “Can I bring you anything? We make a really nice negroni.” Why yes, that sounds delightful. The pickleball courts were calling your name, but there’s more than enough time for that tomorrow.

A little while later you realize your poolside aperitivo has done its job. Time for dinner. The seasonal menu at the Horizon Club looks tasty. Still, you decide to take a short stroll to see what’s cooking in the Village Center. (You are in Wildlight’s Town District, after all.) It was a tough decision between almost a dozen options. In the end you’re very happy with your choice of Hana Sushi.

The walk to and from dinner has given you the perfect chance to take a test-hike on the Wildlight Trailways, Wildlight’s celebrated 12-mile (and growing) trail network. And on the way back to your Del Webb home, you put together a plan for tomorrow. Breakfast at the club, followed by a fierce pickleball match. Then you’ll take your guided tour of the homes and community (which is a delight all by itself). Then it’s off to Amelia Island, just 20 minutes away, for lunch and an afternoon of shopping followed by dinner and a stroll along the shore.

Now you’re really beginning to feel the rhythm of life at Del Webb Wildlight.

What’s your Wildlight quotient?

So let’s say you’ve decided a Del Webb community is the right move for you. How do you know if you’re a Del Webb Wildlight person? Well, you might start by asking yourself a few questions.

  • Do you love the idea of having lots of wide-open nature in and around your neighborhood?
  • Do you enjoy walking and/or biking on long, winding trails?
  • Do you prefer the slower true-lowcountry pace of North Florida over the more intense atmosphere of Central Florida?
  • Have you been charmed by the nearby beachtown attractions of Amelia Island and Fernandina Beach?
  • With all this easygoing lowcountry nature and classic beachtown ambiance, would you still like the balance of having top-notch healthcare and other conveniences right in the community?
  • Is it important to have an international airport like Jacksonville’s just 15 minutes away, and everything else Jacksonville has to offer — like professional sports, world-class shopping and dining and other big-city pleasures — less than a half hour away?

If you answered yes to even two or three of these questions, there’s a good chance you’re a Del Webb Wildlight person. As one resident told Lance, “Del Webb Wildlight is for people who want a place that feels like a breath of fresh air but still keeps you close to everything you need.”

And of course, there’s one way to make sure you’re a Del Webb Wildlight person. It’s called Experience Del Webb.

Fair warning

We feel it’s our responsibility to tell you about a phenomenon that sometimes happens to people who participate in the Experience program. Take the example of one couple. They arrived for their Experience on a Friday. And by the time they left, they were so smitten with Del Webb Wildlight, they asked Lance to meet them early on Sunday morning so they could purchase a home before they flew back to Chicago.

We’re just saying, it’s a powerful experience.
