Places to go and things to do in Wildlight’s Town District
When you call Wildlight home, you’ll start to notice that everything you need is within easy reach. Some may call it a perk, others say it’s happenstance, but we like to refer to it as the Wildlight status quo. From eateries, health services, schools and a little extra in between, there’s so much here (and more coming this year.) It’s the perfect mix of places to go, things to do and ways to unwind.
Eats & Treats
Let’s just say the options are endless. Wildlight is home to a variety of eateries — 15 of them to be exact. With that many dining options, you will never run out of flavors to explore. Craving fresh sushi? Hana Sushi and Tenkura Asian Kitchen have you covered. In the mood for authentic, New York-style pizza? DeCicco’s Pizzeria is the place for it. You can also grab a hearty sub at Firehouse Subs or Jersey Mike’s. And for dessert, local favorites like Rita’s Italian Ice and Nothing Bundt Cakes are ready to satisfy your sweet tooth. Best of all? Thanks to the Wildlight Trailways, you can easily walk or bike to all of them.
Even a routine grocery run becomes a breeze at our neighborhood Publix Super Market, turning a dreaded weekly chore into a quick trip.
Health & Wellness
When you aren’t feeling your best, the last thing you want to do is leave the neighborhood. At Wildlight, you don’t have to. Right in the community is UF Health Wildlight, featuring an urgent care center and UF Health Rehabilitation to help get you back on your feet. Need to pick up a prescription? The local CVS Pharmacy is your convenient, one-stop shop. Once you’re feeling refreshed, you can head over to the YMCA at Wildlight for a yoga or strength-training class. Offering state-of-the-art fitness programs for the whole family, the Y is a favorite community hotspot all year round.
Education & Fun
At Wildlight, students of all ages have places to get an exceptional education. From early learning to university-level classes, there are plenty of mind-expanding opportunities nearby. Right in our community, you’ll find two dedicated early learning centers focused on giving your little ones a great head start.
We’re also proud to be located in the A-rated Nassau County School District— ranked #1 in all of Florida. Talk about an A+ win for the community. Our very own Trailblazers can walk and bike on the 12+ miles of trails to Wildlight Elementary School.
Have middle or high schoolers? Theyre covered, too! Students can attend A-rated Yulee Middle School and Yulee High School just down the road. And when it’s time for college, Florida State College at Jacksonville is just across the street and University of North Florida is 30 minutes from Wildlight. Oh, the places they’ll go!
Looking for some exciting extracurricular activities after the school bell rings? Check out the youth programs at the YMCA at Wildlight or Royal Amelia Dance Academy. Fun is practically in their DNA.
There’s many decisions to be made in life, but when living in Wildlight, you’ll find it gets easier. Errands can be run, and dinner can be done completely hassle free. Everything you need to live a relaxed, easygoing lifestyle is right here — from eateries to top-tier healthcare and schooling. And even more coming soon (stay tuned). Now, that’s the Wildlight way.
