The
Garden
District
While it’s true that the Garden District is going to be more of what you love about Wildlight, it’s also going to be wonderfully different. We’ve leaned into nature in a bigger way, with conserved wetlands and uplands, a big regional park, and oh, the trails — eventually up to 19 miles of them, connecting the neighborhoods within the Garden District. There will be homes with reimagined architecture (don’t worry, front porches will still be a very important feature). New parks. And a scenic trail and linear park called the Green Ribbon that will lead to more parks and trailheads, and conclude (for now) at an overlook on the bluffs of the St. Marys River.
The Garden District is a bit more nestled in nature. It’s nearer to the St. Marys River — the first time the public will have access to this local gem. And the location makes driving to the beach a walk in the park — putting you about 7 minutes closer to Amelia Island. (When you’re ready to escape to the sand, those minutes make a difference.) But at the same time, it’s just a few miles from the Town District, with plenty of conveniences — from a Target to a movie theatre — along the way. The best of two very amazing worlds.
The Garden District is all about taking time to smell the roses (or in this case, maybe a Longleaf Pine) and fully immerse yourself in nature — all 4,700 acres of it. Bike to the bluffs on the first miles of the Green Ribbon Trail. Take to the Wildight Trailways. Or stay put under the heritage trees or at the pool at the Oak Hammock, our first amenity. We’re still working on all the details, but rest assured we’ll let you know when it’s ready.
Situated near the future Oak Hammock and trailhead to the Green Ribbon, the Garden District’s first neighborhood, Bellflower, will be opening in late summer 2026. Single-family homes artfully imagined by two renowned builders, Perry Homes and Toll Brothers, will offer options that capture the indescribable essence of Florida lowcountry style. And in late 2026, they’ll be joined by David Weekley Homes, who will bring single-family homes to Woodlyn — our new neighborhood that puts you even closer to the Green Ribbon. And Ashton Woods, coming to Mayfield in 2027, a tucked-away enclave with single-family homes across Riverbluff Parkway from a future school.
The beautiful thing about living in the Garden District is that the Town District is just a few miles down the road. Which means while you’re living a little bit nearer to the heart of nature, fun (and food) is never far.
Stay up-to-date on the Garden District goings-on. (And check back often.)
